Acer palmatum Olsens Frosted Strawberry is a great new palmatum cultivar discovered as a seedling from a Aka shigitatsu sawa by Harry Olsen. This exciting cultivar is sure to attract attention in your landscape. Leaves emerge with strawberry cream colors and then change into a lovely variegate. Growth habits appear to be similar to Aka shigitatsu sawa. Seems to hold the heat and tolerate sun well. The leaves are more narrow lobed than Aka shigitatsu sawa. Sun / part shade.
