Aka hosada
Aka hosada is beautiful new strap-leaf selection that is very sun hardy and provides a display of red colors throughout the season. Aka hosada tends to hold it’s color better than any other Linearlobium and even in mid summer heat. A small upright maple that will reach about 6 feet in 10 years. Can stand winter temperatures down to -10 degrees. Does best in zones 6 through 9.

Aka shigisatsu sawa is a very nice reticulated cultivar which emerges with a beautiful unique spring color. In full sun, leaves develop a heavy tint of pink-red with contrasting dark green veins. Fall is firery orange and red. Growth to 8 feet. Sun/part shade.

The Japanese maple Akita yatsubusa is a strong and hardy dwarf that has wonderful dark green leaves. When the leave emerge in the Spring they have a lovely pinkish red color. Akita yatsubusa forms a dense round dwarf to about 4 feet tall. Fall color is brilliant orange-red.

Amagi shigure
One of the most exciting maple discoveries, the Amagi shigure is a slow-growing, upright Japanese maple with bright brick-red leaves and prominent black veins. Fall color is vivid orange, red and purple. "Amagi shigure" roughly translates to heavenly rain shower in late summer". The color of this maple is so outstanding Amagi shigure is also called Purple Passion.
Prefers sun/partial shade in well-drained soil. 6 feet tall x 3 feet wide in 10 years. Hardy to -20 degrees. USDA zone 5.

Ao shime no uchi
Ao shime no uchi is a lovely bright green Acer palmatum with slender thread-like leaves. The texture is very fine, making it a wonderful choice for container growing. In fall the leaves turn yellow, orange, and gold. In the landscape, Ao shime no uchi is a medium sized palmatum which will grow to about 10 feet in height. Morning sun afternoon shade.

Beni hime
Beni hime is a cheery dwarf maple that is among the smallest Acer palmatum dwarfs with red color. Beni hime is a slow grower, forming a small, bushy tree. In Japanese, "Beni Hime" translates to "Red Dwarf". Spring growth is pale pink to rusty red, increasing in color intensity throughout the summer. Deep green spreads from lower branches mid-summer, giving this plant a rainbow of colors. Most leaves are as small as a penny and clustered on short stalks. Great for pots or bonsai as this specimen grows to a maximum height of 4 feet in 8-10 years. Does well in morning sun afternoon shade.
