Acer sieboldianum Seki no kegon is a beautiful Japanese maple adapted to colder climates. Seki no kegon is a small tree to about 10 feet with a pendulous or weeping habit. The leaves are a pleasant green in summer and become blazing yellow – orange to red, through the fall. A very graceful maple that is a GREAT Japanese maple for the colder climates. (does fine in warmer climates too). Typically good for zone 4.

Acer davidii Hansu suru
Hansu suru is a very nice variegated variety of Acer davidii. Leaves can be entirely yellow, partly variegated or completely green. Vigorous grower to about 8 feet. Leaves are typical of the species but slightly smaller. Habit is bushier than the species. Branches sometimes revert. Best grown in part shade to avoid burning of highly variegated leaves.
