Emerald Lace Japanese maple is our favorite green Acer palmatum with finely dissected leaves. Emerald lace has leaves that emerge bright green in spring with red petioles which remain red throughout the season. Summer color lightens to light green with red highlights. Emerald lace has great fall colors that run yellow to orange and finish up with fiery red. Hardy and vigorous. A great plant! Typical cascading habit. Height 5-6 ‘ in 10 years and just as wide. Height can easily be maintained with thoughtful pinching back and conversely – can be trained higher by staking. Does great in sun but in hot areas provide some shade in the the afternoon. cold hardy to -10F.

Del's Dwarf is a very colorful circinatum that emerges bronze and orange in the spring. Leaves are smaller than the species and perhaps thicker. Smaller than the species but similar habit with multiple branching. Brilliant Orange and Red fall color. Very hardy Dwarf to 6 feet in 10 years. Sun /part shade. Hardy to -20 degrees. USDA zone 5.
