Gossamer is an Acer japonicum dwarf with a frilly, dense growth habit. Quite possibly the most finely cut of the japonicums, Gossamer has a very unique, fanciful look. Beautiful green foliage turns to oranges and reds in the fall. Gossamer is a great addition to cold climate landscapes, as it is hardy to -20. This variety maxes out at about 3 feet high by two feet in width. Best suited for zones 5-9.

Brandt’s Dwarf
Brandt's Dwarf is one of the oldest Acer palmatum red dwarf maples derived from a witches' broom of atropurpureum. The leaves emerge in the Spring bright purple-red and then deepen to a blood red in the Summer. Later in the season the leaves fade to a rusty green color. At maturity Brandt's dwarf will reach about 3 feet high and about the same in width. Brandt's dwarf habit is a dense rounded shrub. The fall color is bright scarlet red. This is a hardy dwarf variety.

Aoyagi gawa
Aoyagi gawa is a small Japanese maple with light green leaves with long, narrow lobes. Aoyagi gawa leaves turn bright yellow in the fall. In winter the twigs and branches turn to a coral yellow-green. A very nice plant with appeal during all seasons. Very willowy and graceful. Aoyagi gawa prefers sun/partial shade in well-drained soil. This maple will grow to about 6' tall x 3' wide in 10 years. Hardy to -20 degrees. USDA zone 5.
