Acer palmatum Beni Kawa is a Japanese maple that is very similar to the popular Sango kaku. Beni-Kawa has a very nice salmon-red bark, green leaves in summer and and vibrant fall color. Beni kawa seems to have a slightly deeper or richer red color than the Coral Bark maple. Beni Kawa is slightly slower growing than the Coral bark, with an upright vase-shaped habit. Will grow to about 10′. Hardy but in hot climates does best with morning sun and afternoon shade.

Little Gem is a wonderful Acer circinatum dwarf. Little Gem is a dwarf vine maple that was discovered as a witches broom in a vine maple. The Little Gem maple grows into a compact rounded shrub to about 3 feet high. Little Gem has small orbicular leaves about 1" in size which emerge light green in spring and turn to a darker shade by summer. Fall color is orange turning to fiery red. Hardy and can take cold to -10F

Pacific Sprite is a cultivar of the vine maple which is native to the Pacific Northwest. Pacific Sprite is a slow-growing upright deciduous tree with thick branches. The green leaves are twisted and contorted giving the maple a unique appearance. Pacific Sprite has a golden Fall color. sun/partial shade. 6' tall x 2' wide in 10 years. Hardy to -20 degrees. A. japonicum Giant Moon
Giant moon is a new cultivar which we are still evaluating. Very large light green orbicular leaves emerge from this japonicum with tinges of pink. The leaves as they emerge are covered with a fine hair making them silvery in appearance. Growth appears to be similar to A.j. Aconitifolium in that it is open and layering. Sun /afternoon shade.
