Beni tsukasa has outstanding Spring color of pink to pale apricot with shaded portions of the plant mottled blush-pink and cream. Summer colors change through mottled pink/green to green, turning orange and red in autumn. Beni tsukasa is a medium sized plant to 10 feet. A very nice plant that deserves more attention in peoples gardens. Morning sun part shade afternoon is best placement.

Another wonderful cultivar of Acer circinatum, 'Sunny Sister' shines like it's sister 'Sunglow'. Sunny Sister displays tones of lots of apricot and peach ("more so than Sunglow") as the leaves emerge in spring, fading to a lime chartruese yellow for the rest of the season. Slow growing this maple will reach 6 feet in 10 years. Morning sun with protection from hot sun is best. Hardy to -20 degrees. USDA zone 5.
