Otto’s Dissectum

Abigail Rose is a wonderful dwarf Acer palmatum with variegated leaves like a miniature Alpenweiss or Higasayama, that has delicate reticulated leaves. Many leaves do not have variegation when young but as the tree matures more variegation develops. Spring color is a showy display of pinks and reds, while fall color displays brilliant orange and yellow. Abigail Rose is a small dwarf with slender twigs which will grow up to 6-feet high and 5-foot wide in 10 years. Abigail Rose is susceptible to powdery mildew and needs to be placed where there is good airflow. Does best in morning sun afternoon shade, an ideal tree for containers and areas with warmer, dry weather.
