Acer shirasawanum Bashful is a dwarf variety similar to the Full Moon maple. Bashful will grow into a small upright maple with a spreading top. Bashful has leaves that emerge orange and pink in the spring which later turn apricot-tinged green in the summer. Fall colors for the leaves of Bashful will turn yellow and orange. Bashful is slow growing to about 3 – 4′ Bashful is a great tree for small gardens. Cold hardy to -10 F Protect from hot afternoon sun.
