A. japonicum O isami
O isami is a very nice Japonicum with habits similar to the genus - Open and spreading. Large orbicular green leaves turn brilliant fall colors of yellow to orange to red! Upright and sturdy growing. Oisami will reach to about 12-15 ' in 10 years.
A. japonicum Green Cascade
Green Cascade is a wonderful pendulous form of Acer japonicum. Leaves are rich green and feathery. This is a great dissectum with brilliant fall colors that range through yellow-orange tones with traces of crimson. Low growing and vigorous this maple is a very nice addition to any collection. Slow mounding growth to 4 feet tall, 6-8 feet wide. Tends to grow laterally. Sun/ part shade
A. japonicum Attaryi
Medium upright tree to 20 feet or more depending on climate and culture. Very strong grower and hardy. Leaves slightly larger but not as deepely cut as A. j. Aconitifolium. Strong orange and red fall colors. Sun/ part shade
Acer circinatum Ki setsudoe
Ki setsudoe is a wonderful cultivar of Acer circinatum. Ki setsudoe has leaves that emerge bright red in the spring, turning coppery greenish red in the summer. It tends to have a slower growth rate than the speceies Acer circinatum, and its natural tendency is to grow into a multi-trunked large shrub of perhaps 10-12 ft. in height and width. Hardy like most circinatums this plant can tolerate a fair amount of sun but best growth is obtained with morning sun and afternoon shade. A real beauty!
Acer circinatum Pacific Fire
Pacific Fire is my favorite cultivar of Acer circinatum. Pacific Fire has flaming red bark in the winter that dazzles in the landscape with color. The orange - red bark has a waxy sheen to it that really makes the bark shine. Nice bronzing of the leaves when placed in full sun. A multibranching shrub/tree like the species but slower growing. Fall color is bright yellows with some orange which really make a show against the firery bark! 10 feet in 8 years. . Holds up well in the sun and heat... tends to become even more beautiful in the full sun. Will burn in extreme heat (> 90°) Hardy to -20 degrees. USDA zone 5.
