      Coonara Pygmy

      Coonara Pygmy is a very nice roundish dwarf maple. Coonara pygmy has small bright green leaves which emerge in spring that are densely clustered on the stems. Fall colors transitions into yellow-orange and pink to deep pink tones in late fall. Discovered in Australia. Morning sun afternoon shade is best in hot climates. 5′ tall x 5′ wide in 10 years. Hardy to -20 degrees. USDA zone 5.

      Del's Dwarf is a very colorful circinatum that emerges bronze and orange in the spring. Leaves are smaller than the species and perhaps thicker. Smaller than the species but similar habit with multiple branching. Brilliant Orange and Red fall color. Very hardy Dwarf to 6 feet in 10 years. Sun /part shade. Hardy to -20 degrees. USDA zone 5.

      Vitifolium is a wonderful maple with an ever-changing appeal. Vitifolium has coppery orange Spring leaves which turn to deep green in summer. Late summer may have the leaves bronze into oranges and reds. Mature trees often have bright red seeds which contrast nicely with the deep green leaves of summer. Like most Japonicums, Vitifolium has spectacular fall colors of scarlet, yellow and orange on large grape-like leaves. Grows 18 feet tall and wide. Strong grower. Full sun, partial shade<

      Abigail Rose
      Abigail Rose is a wonderful dwarf Acer palmatum with variegated leaves like a miniature Alpenweiss or Higasayama, that has delicate reticulated leaves. Many leaves do not have variegation when young but as the tree matures more variegation develops. Fall color is orange. Abigail Rose is a small dwarf with slender twigs which will grow to 3-feet high and 1-foot wide in 10 years. Abigail Rose is susceptible to powdery mildew and needs to be placed where there is good airflow. Does best in morning sun afternoon shade. Can be difficult to grow - does not like cold wet springs and like to grow in drier climates.
