Acer palmatum Kotobuki is gorgeous new dwarf maple from Japan. It spring it leafs out with bright pink and white variegation. Kotobuki tends to have more pink variegation than Asahi zuru and Oridono nishiki. Added attraction for Kotobuki is that the stems on new growth have bright pink as well. Fall colors are bright oranges to bright reds infused with pink variegation. It will reach 6’ tall by 5’ wide in 10 years making a dense dwarf. Hardy – but prefers afternoon shade in hot sunny locations.

Del's Dwarf is a very colorful circinatum that emerges bronze and orange in the spring. Leaves are smaller than the species and perhaps thicker. Another wonderful cultivar of Acer circinatum, 'Sunny Sister' shines like it's sister 'Sunglow'. Sunny Sister displays tones of lots of apricot and peach ("more so than Sunglow") as the leaves emerge in spring, fading to a lime chartruese yellow for the rest of the season. Slow growing this maple will reach 6 feet in 10 years. Morning sun with protection from hot sun is best. Hardy to -20 degrees. USDA zone 5.
