Japanese Princess
Japanese Princess is a wonderful dwarf maple, originating as a seedling from 'Mikawa yatsubusa'. However, the new leaves of Japanese Princess in spring are pink-red, later becoming cream-white with a pink blush. Fall color is orange to red. Japanese Princess is Very Nice - very small dwarf - it will become 2' tall x 2' wide in 10 years. Hardy to -20 degrees. USDA zone 5.

Murasaki kiyohime
Murasaki kiyohime is a vigorous dwarf Japanese maple whose small light green leaves emerge bright green with red margins in the spring. Leaves turn glossy and dark green with purple-red margins by summer. Murasaki kiyohime is a great dwarf palmatum! Upright habit and bushy. Murasaki kiyohime is hardy to -10° F and will grow 6 feet by 5 feet in 8 years. Sun / part shade in hot climates.

Otaha
Acer palmatum Otaha is a great new introduction that has tiny bright red leaves in Spring, similar to A. palmatum Beni hime. However, Otaha grows with greater vigor and is easier to grow than Beni hime. A lovely small tree that will grow to about 5'. Otaha has green leaves in the Summer, and back to scarlet red in the Fall. Otaha has very good heat tolerance, but protect from late Spring frost.
