Scaring from unsuccessful grafts create a gnarled out bark look that also makes them great for bonsai. Very reasonably priced. May be a misshaped tree – ready for your hand at restructuring.

Caperci Dwarf is beautiful dwarf Acer palmatum that makes an excellent bonsai. Caperci emerges in the spring with coral or light pink leaves, becoming medium green for the summer, similar to the variety Corallinum. Beautiful golden fall color. Caperci Dwarf has a small tree form, tiny green leaves and a dense, rounded habit- ideal bonsai shape. Caperci dwarf prefers sun/partial shade in hot areas and well-drained soil. If planted in the landscape, Caperci dwarf will become 4 feet tall by 3 feet wide in 10 years. This is a two year one gallon plant.

Japanese Princess is a wonderful dwarf maple, similar to it's parent plant Mikawa Yatsubusa. The new leaves of Japanese Princess in spring are pink-red, later becoming cream-white with a pink blush. This tree makes a beautiful bonsai as it is a naturally small dwarf, becoming no bigger than 2 feet tall in 10 years. Fall color is orange to red. This is a 4 year, two gallon plant.

Seigen is very nice small-leaved, delicate-looking plant with scarlet-red color in the spring. Leaves change to a blend of green and bronze in summer. Fall color is a mixture of bright orange-yellow. Plant is similar to Shindesojo but perhaps less susceptible to powdery mildew. Leaves often have Fu (speckled variegation). Height to 10' in eight years. Sun/ part shade

This Acer palmatum Fjellheim Japanese maple is ideal for Bonsai since the grafting scars are minimal. The Fjellheim has medium small leaves that make it ideal for bonsai. An added wonderful feature of Fjellheim is that the bark turns red in the winter months.  Summertime foliage is a pleasing green. Fall colors will range from yellow, orange to finally red. This maple is a 3-4 yrs old, and a 1 gallon plant, ready for shaping. It has some nice nebari as well (see images). Fjellheim is a dwarf that if planted out in the landscape will reach about 4-5′.
