Fjellheim – 3-4 year Pre-Bonsai #626

This Acer palmatum Fjellheim Japanese maple is ideal for Bonsai since the grafting scars are minimal. The Fjellheim has medium small leaves that make it ideal for bonsai. An added wonderful feature of Fjellheim is that the bark turns red in the winter months.  Summertime foliage is a pleasing green. Fall colors will range from yellow, orange to finally red. This maple is a 3-4 yrs old, and a 1 gallon plant, ready for shaping. It has some nice nebari as well (see images). Fjellheim is a dwarf that if planted out in the landscape will reach about 4-5′.
