These Japanese maples are green lace leaf seedlings which are ideal for Bonsai since there are no grafting scars. Foliage is variable since they are seedlings but is similar to Seiryu which is the parent plant. These maples have green summer foliage with yellow to orange to red fall color. These maple are 3-4 yrs old with a caliper of about 1/4″ or more.

Mikawa Yatsubusa is a hardy green leaved dwarf Japanese maple that makes a great bonsai. The leaves are spaced closely together on short, stubby shoots, giving it a unique appearance. Mikawa Yatsubusa has very nice branching habit, which makes for a great bonsai look. This 2 gallon plant has low grafting with minimal scarring. Fall colors are yellow orange to red. Moderate to slow growing. Planted in the ground this tree reaches 6 feet in 10 years. Sun / part shade.

Caperci emerges in the spring with coral or light pink leaves, becoming medium green for the summer, similar to the variety Corallinum. Beautiful golden fall color. Caperci Dwarf has a small tree form, tiny green leaves and a dense, rounded habit- ideal bonsai shape. Caperci dwarf prefers sun/partial shade in hot areas and well-drained soil. If planted in the landscape, Caperci dwarf will become 4 feet tall by 3 feet wide in 10 years. This is a two year one gallon plant.
