Ki Setsudoe 5-6 Year Pre-Bonsai (#742)
Ki setsudoe is a wonderful cultivar of Acer circinatum. Ki setsudoe has leaves that emerge bright red in the spring, turning coppery greenish red in the summer. It tends to have a slower growth rate than the speceies Acer circinatum, and its natural tendency is to grow into a multi-trunked large shrub of making it beautiful for bonsai. Hardy like most circinatums this plant can tolerate a fair amount of sun but best growth is obtained with morning sun and afternoon shade. Fall color is orange to red. This is a 5-6 year, two gallon plant with a seamless graft scar. Naturally stunted, this specimen measures about 25 inches at it’s tallest point.
