This tree has a low graft and minimal scarring, making it an ideal choice for bonsai. Beautiful branching gives it the appearance of a perfectly formed mini tree. Shaina has bright red fall color. Planted in the landscape, this tree will grow to 6 feet. This is a 3 year 1 gallon plant.

Skeeter's Broom is a dwarf Acer palmatum that arose from a witch’s broom of Bloodgood. Dwarf maples make excellent Bonsai. Skeeter's broom has bright red spring color, becoming burgundy red foliage in the summer, and bright red again in the Fall. This plant has a low graft with minimal scarring making it perfect for bonsai. Skeeters Broom is stronger and easier to grow than some of the other witches brooms. Very hardy and tolerates heat well. In the natural landscape, it forms a beautiful narrow upright tree to 6′. This is a 3-4 year one gallon plant.
