Bihou exhibits outstanding winter interest with an unusual, golden yellow, apricot colored bark. A small, upright tree with yellow-green leaves makes it a great candidate for bonsai. Prefers sun/partial shade. This specimen has a clean graft line and nice branching structure, making it a perfect option for bonsai. This tree is a 4-5 year old 2 gallon plant.

One of our favorites out of all the maples, Shindeshojo makes a great bonsai plant due to it's stunning colors. This Acer palamtum cultivar has the most brilliant red spring color of all maples! These specimens have very low, clean graft scars making them perfect bonsai starters. If planted in the landscape, Shindeshojo will reach about 8′ H by 10′ wide. This is a 1-2 year one gallon plant.

Kiyohime is a very attractive dwarf Japanese maple that is very showy in spring with leaves tinged with red edges! Kiyohime is a hardy dwarf that grows low and bushy to about 5′ tall in the natural landscape. Very similar to Murasaki kiyohime. Kiyohime is great for small spaces, bonsai, and rock gardens. Summer foliage is a lush deep green. Fall colors start with bright yellows and then eventually turn and to orange. This is a 2 year one gallon plant.

These are 1 gallon Acer palmatum rootstock that have scaring from failed grafts that would be a great start for a bonsai because they have some caliper. Scaring from unsuccessful grafts create a gnarled out bark look that also makes them great for bonsai. Very reasonably priced. May be a misshaped tree - ready for your hand at restructuring.

Ki setsudoe is a wonderful cultivar of Acer circinatum. Ki setsudoe has leaves that emerge bright red in the spring, turning coppery greenish red in the summer. It tends to have a slower growth rate than the speceies Acer circinatum, and its natural tendency is to grow into a multi-trunked large shrub of making it beautiful for bonsai. Hardy like most circinatums this plant can tolerate a fair amount of sun but best growth is obtained with morning sun and afternoon shade. Fall color is orange to red. This is a 5-6 year, two gallon plant with a seamless graft scar. Naturally stunted, this specimen measures about 19 inches at it's tallest point.
