Japanese Princess is a wonderful dwarf maple, originating as a seedling from 'Mikawa yatsubusa'. However, the new leaves of Japanese Princess in spring are pink-red, later becoming cream-white with a pink blush. Fall color is orange to red. Japanese Princess is Very Nice - very small dwarf - it will become 2' tall x 2' wide in 10 years. Hardy to -20 degrees. USDA zone 5.

Koto no ito is a very interesting linearilobum Japanese maple cultivar with light green color leaves. Koto no ito has leaves that are a bit more slender than other linearilobum cultivars. Lima Gold
Acer palmatum Lima Gold is a wonderful dwarf Japanese maple that has a cheery bright appearance. Great for Bonsai. A dwarf maple, Lima Gold has a dense form with tiny seven-lobed leaves are yellow-green in spring and summer, then turn to straw yellow in autumn. Lima Gold does best with part shade in hot climates. Lima gold habit and leaf shape is very similar to Sharps pygmy - but a lighter brighter green in color. VERY NICE! Mature size is about 2.5' tall x 2.5' wide in 10 years. Hardy to -20 degrees F. Murasaki kiyohime is a vigorous dwarf Japanese maple whose small light green leaves emerge bright green with red margins in the spring. Leaves turn glossy and dark green with purple-red margins by summer. Murasaki kiyohime is a great dwarf palmatum! Upright habit and bushy. Otaha
Acer palmatum Otaha is a great new introduction that has tiny bright red leaves in Spring, similar to A. palmatum Beni hime. However, Otaha grows with greater vigor and is easier to grow than Beni hime. A lovely small tree that will grow to about 5'. Otaha has green leaves in the Summer, and back to scarlet red in the Fall. Otaha has very good heat tolerance, but protect from late Spring frost.

Ryusen (Ryusei)
Ryusen Japanese maple is a unique weeping variety of Acer plamatum with green palmate leaves. Most other cascading Japanese maple varieties have lace leaves. In addition, Ryusen has the extreme habit of cascading, which makes it ideal for a tight spot in the landscape or as a focal point for an unusual specimen. To gain height Rysuen often needs to be staked. Ryusen has fall colors that go through the wonderful color changes of yellow - orange - to scarlet red. Ryusen Japanese maple is also known as Ryusei. Very hardy and a vigorous grower.
