Kuro hime is a cheery dwarf that has deep green leaves, red petioles and bright pink-red leaves in the spring, making it ideal for bonsai. This tree has minimal grafting scars and nice branching. Fall color is bright red. Kuro hime forms a dense compact small tree to about 5′ tall in the natural landscape. Tolerates heat well and is all around hardy.
