Amagi shigure
One of the most exciting maple discoveries, the Amagi shigure is a slow-growing, upright Japanese maple with bright brick-red leaves and prominent black veins. Fall color is vivid orange, red and purple. "Amagi shigure" roughly translates to heavenly rain shower in late summer". The color of this maple is so outstanding Amagi shigure is also called Purple Passion.
Prefers sun/partial shade in well-drained soil. 6 feet tall x 3 feet wide in 10 years. Hardy to -20 degrees. USDA zone 5.

Aratama
Aratama is an Acer palmatum witches' broom (a plant derived from a proliferation of shoots growing close together) with bright red new growth that matures to a deeper purple-red. Aratama in Japanese translates to "uncut gem". If planted in the shade, leaves revert to bronze-green. A beautiful and strong growing dwarf that produces a compact plant in time, making it a great option for a potted plant. This tree will grow a maximum of 5 feet in 10 years. Takes full sun well.

Autumn Fire
Autumn Fire is a semi-erect green lace leaf Acer palmatum with outstanding fall colors. New growth is light green with some reddish-pink edging which turns a darker green in the summer. Autumn Fire's leaves turn an intense brilliant red in the fall. Vigorous growing to about 6 feet high in 10 years. Sun/ afternoon shade.

Corallinum
Corallinum emerges an outstanding pink in the spring, making this maple an eye-catching beauty with a floral-like appearance! The leaves turn to a pleasing green in summer, with some of the foliage keeping flecks of pink from the spring color. This variety will often go through another flush of pink later in summer. Corallinum has small, dense leaves and is slow growing with a maximum height of 7-8 feet.
