A. japonicum Green Cascade

Green Cascade is a wonderful pendulous form of Acer japonicum. Leaves are rich green and feathery. This is a great dissectum with brilliant fall colors that range through yellow-orange tones with traces of crimson. Low growing and vigorous this maple is a very nice addition to any collection. Slow mounding growth to 4 feet tall, 6-8 feet wide. Tends to grow laterally. Sun/ part shade

Baby lace is the first witches broom from a dissectum to be discovered. Baby Lace is an interesting lace leaf maple that has leaves that are half the size of normal dissectum leaves. The leaves emerge reddish orange and them become bronze green for the summer. Baby lace becomes about 3 feet tall after about 10 years eventually forming a roundish, dense shrub. Morning sun/ afternoon shade.

Emerald Lace

Emerald Lace Japanese maple is our favorite green Acer palmatum with finely dissected leaves. Emerald lace has leaves that emerge bright green in spring with red petioles which remain red throughout the season. Summer color lightens to light green with red highlights. Emerald lace has great fall colors that run yellow to orange and finish up with fiery red. Hardy and vigorous. A great plant! Typical cascading habit. Height 5-6 ‘ in 10 years and just as wide. Height can easily be maintained with thoughtful pinching back and conversely - can be trained higher by staking. Does great in sun but in hot areas provide some shade in the the afternoon. cold hardy to -10F.

Jeddeloh Orange is a wonderful lace leaf Japanese maple that bursts with color in the spring and fall. With a cascading habit typical of lace leafs, Jeddeloh Orange has orange leaves that emerge in the spring over deep green foliage. Ths green foliage lasts through out summer until Jeddeloh puts on a fall display of yellow orange to fiery red. Jeddeloh is hardy and can tolerate heat - but give afternoon shade in very hot locals. Will grow to about 4-6' H in about 10 ys. Cold hardy to -10 F when established.

Octopus is a vigorous growing lace leaf that has long new shoot or "tenatacles" that arch outward and downward to give Octopus it's name. In spring Octopus emerges pink-red and become darker to a deep purple-red in the summer. The Octopus can take a zone 5. It will become about 8’ in 10 years. It is a lace leaf and those tend to have a weeping or cascading habit. Fall color is bright red

The light green spring color of Viridis turns the full spectrum in the fall...yellow orange to bright red. Virdis can take full sun, but needs partial shade in very hot areas. Very hardy. Can take cold to Zone 5

The light green spring color turns the full spectrum in the fall...yellow, orange to fiery red. Waterfall is hardy and can tolerate full sun, but needs partial shadein very hot climates. Waterfall is very similar to Virdis - but the leaf of the Waterfall maple tends to be slightly larger than Virdis. Hardy to -15°.
