Kuro hime is a cheery dwarf that has deep green leaves, red petioles and bright pink-red leaves in the spring, making it ideal for bonsai. This tree has minimal grafting scars and nice branching. Fall color is bright red. Kuro hime forms a dense compact small tree to about 5′ tall in the natural landscape. Tolerates heat well and is all around hardy. This plant is 2 year old one gallon plant with a low/minimal graft scar.

One of our favorites out of all the maples, Shindeshojo makes a great bonsai plant due to it's stunning colors. This Acer palamtum cultivar has the most brilliant red spring color of all maples! These specimens have very low, clean graft scars making them perfect bonsai starters. If planted in the landscape, Shindeshojo will reach about 8′ H by 10′ wide. This is a 1-2 year one gallon plant.
