Beni Maiko is one of the Acer palmatums known for its scarlet red leaves in spring as it begins to leaf out. In Japanese, beni maiko translates to "red-haired dancing girl." Red spring color matures to red-green with the main veins and leaf stalks remaining red. Fall color is equally as impressive as the spring as the leaves slowly change to a fiery red. This is a mid sized maple, reaching 8-10 feet at mature height. Best suited for zones 6-9.
