Planted this in a difficult place. Semi-shade, semi-sun with some irrigation in hot Sacramento. Coming through the summery with flying colors. This supposedly three-foot high plant has grown a foot - mostly outward and looks very healthy. I did did and amend this part of my shade garden before planting. Very pleased with the maple.
