And incredibly the underside of the Esk Sunset leaf is purple! Esk Sunset Originated from the Esk Valley on the North Island of New Zealand, the Esk Sunset will become a medium sized tree will grow to 12 feet by 12′ in 10 years. Esk Sunset needs some protection from the hot sun in very hot areas…otherwise fairly sun tolerant. Cold hardy to -10° F. Zone 5.
