Sojo no mai is a delicate variegated variety with beautiful pink and green leaves. The pink color starts out strong in spring new growth and then can fade to cream colors in summer. fall color brings yellows and oranges. Sojo no mai means "dancing red-faced monkey" in Japanese and this variety grows to about 5-8 feet at maximum height. Like most variegates, Sojo no mai needs partial shade. Best for zones 5-9.
