Beni otake is an attractive Acer palmatum with long linear leaves, much like bamboo. Beni otake has deep red-purple foliage which is outstanding in the spring- bold and vibrant. This color will hold nicely throughout the summer. Fall color is a bright crimson. This plant is hardy and will grow to 12 feet or more in ideal conditions. Sun/part shade is best.
