Acer palmatum Black Lace is a lace leaf maple with a unique dark purple color that almost appears black- which is quite hard to capture in photographs. This upright weeping variety does well in sunny areas, and would look stunning planted next to bright and colorful ornamentals for contrast. Fall color is bright red. Black Lace will grow 12 feet tall by 10 feet wide in about 10 years if planted in the natural landscape. Best suited for zones 5-9.
