





Ukigumo
Acer palmatum Ukigumo is an outstanding variegated cultivar with light green leaves are variously softly speckled and blocked with a light dusky-pink interspersed with cream. In full sun, Ukigumo tends to turn pink in the upper most exposed leaves. In Japanese, Ukigumo translated to “Floating Cloud”. Fall colors bring a rainbow of colors with the whites, pinks, purples, yellows and oranges.
In ten years, Ukigumo will grow 10-12 feet. Highly variegated varieties like Ukigumo do best with morning sun and a decent amount of afternoon shade. Best suited for zones 5-8.
