Rhode Island Red has a bright red, spring flush that darkens to a gorgeous purple-red as the leaves mature. Fall foliage is an outstanding fiery orange to red. Rhode Island Red will grow 6 foot tall and 5 foot wide in 10 years. This tree is hardy to -20 degrees, USDA zone 5. This beautiful tree originated in Middletown, Rhode Island.
