The Seiryu Japanese maple is a classy upright growing form of the dissectum Acer palmatum maples. Seiryu is a very sturdy and lovely plant with bright green leaves tipped with red in spring. Little Gem is a wonderful Acer circinatum dwarf. Little Gem is a dwarf vine maple that was discovered as a witches broom in a vine maple. The Little Gem maple grows into a compact rounded shrub to about 3 feet high. Little Gem has small orbicular leaves about 1" in size which emerge light green in spring and turn to a darker shade by summer. Fall color is orange turning to fiery red.
