Coonara Pygmy

Coonara Pygmy is a lovely dwarf maple that grows into a rounded shape. Coonara pygmy has small bright green leaves which emerge in spring that are densely clustered on the stems. A natural dwarf variety, this tree makes a great bonsai. We think this maple is very similar to Koto Maru. Fall colors transitions into yellow-orange and pink to deep pink and purple tones in late fall. This variety was first discovered in Australia. Morning sun afternoon shade is best in hot climates.

Coonara Pygmy will reach a max height of 5 feet tall x 5 feet wide in 10 years. Hardy to -20 degrees. USDA zone 5.
