The Orange Flame Japanese maple is an upright, strong grower, with a deeply lobed leaf. In Spring new leaves emerge orange and then turn a pleasing light green in the summer. In summer the new second growth lights up like a flame – hence the name Orange Flame. Added bonus is that the winter bark color is also orange on newer growth! Orange Flame has great fall color which is bright red, along with oranges and yellows. Hardy. Grows 12′ x 8′ in ten years. Zone 5
