Aka hosada
Aka hosada is beautiful new strap-leaf selection that is very sun hardy and provides a display of red colors throughout the season. In Japanese, Aka translates to “red” and Hosada means “slender, delicate or narrow”. This variety tends to hold it’s color better than any other Linearlobium, even in mid summer heat.
Aka Hosada is a small upright maple that will reach about 6 feet tall in 10 years. Can stand winter temperatures down to -10 degrees. Does best in zones 5 through 9.
