Akajii nishiki / Bonfire

Akajii nishiki is a wonderful upright growing tree that emerges in spring with beautiful bright reddish-pink growth. Akaji nishiki is VERY Showy in spring. The leaves turn to limey green in summer. Akaji nishiki has bright orange to red fall color. Grows rather narrow to 5-6′ and to a Height 8 -10 feet. Morning sun afternoon shade is best placement. Rare. Zones 6-9 This plant is also sometimes also known as Bonfire… but another plant is named Bonfire as well – unfortunate – but two forms of Bonfire exist (see Bonfire this website).
