Aka Kawa Hime Pre-Bonsai (#760)

Aka kawa hime is a wonderful semi-dwarf palmatum with bright red bark in the winter, making it an ideal bonsai choice. Aka kawa hime translates to “small red bark” in Japanese, which like the Sango Kaku, is this cultivar’s main highlights. This tree has dense lime green foliage which turn golden yellow and orange winter. Aka Kawa Hime is a smaller version of the Coral Bark maple as it will only grow to 6-8 feet in 10 years. This is a 1-2 year, one gallon plant with minimal graft scars.
