Hino tori nishiki is a beautiful Acer palmatum Japanese maple that has small leaves which emerge in spring with a pink – apricot color, changing to limey green as the summer progresses. In Japanese, “hino tori” translates to fire bird, an appropriate name for it’s stunning spring and fall colors. This incredible spring color makes it a stunning bonsai. If planted in the landscape this specimen will grow to 10 feet by 8 feet wide in 10 years. Low, clean graft on a one gallon plant.
