Mikazuki
Acer palmatum Mikazuki is a wonderful colorful, rather bushy upright Japanese maple having medium sized narrow-lobed leaves with lovely pink blush over white with green reticulation. The color holds well through summer. Mikazuki means “crescent moon” in Japanese, and you can sometimes see it listed under Crescent Moon maple.
This variety prefers sun/partial shade in well-drained soil. Considered a mid sized maple, Mikazuki will grow to about 8 feet tall x 5 feet wide in 10 years. Hardy to -20 degrees.
