Shigarami Nishiki
Acer palmatum Shigarami Nishiki is another beautiful variegated maple, similar to Kotobuki or Oridono Nishiki. The leaves have a painted/ brushstroke appearance with more white, especially as the new growth ages. A newer variety, this plant is expected to reach 6-8 feet at maximum height by 4-6 feet wide. Bushy in form, like all variegated plants, Shigarami Nishiki needs partial shade to prevent burning. Best suited for zones 6-8.
