Winter Flame Pre-Bonsai 2 Yr (#797)

Winter Flame is an Acer palmatum cultivar that is a smaller, more compact version of the Coral Bark Maple (Sango kaku) . The palmate green leaves on Winter Flame take on a yellow, orange and then a fiery red with the bark a bright coral red in winter. Winter Flame seems to be a bit hardier than the Coral bark (less twig die back). In the natural landscape it will reach 6-8 feet in ten years, and is considered a dwarf variety. This is 2 year, one gallon plant with minimal graft scarring.
